As a kitchen designer with over 20 years of experience, my passion for this industry has only grown over time. I love the challenge of working with clients and helping them discover the best possible outcome for their kitchen projects. However, in 2017, while enjoying a secure position with plenty of opportunities for advancement, I was presented with the opportunity to leave it all behind and teach elementary students at a private Christian school.

With a lot of prayer, counsel, and support from my wife and family, I made the switch. Leaving my career behind was difficult, and doing something completely new and unfamiliar was even harder. My university science degree had been all but forgotten, but it turned out to be the right decision nonetheless.

After a short venture on YouTube with my wife, Amy encouraged me to pursue my passion for kitchen design in a new way. Mark Tobin Kitchen Design was born, and opportunities to work with clients from around the world soon followed.

After 3½ years of teaching while pursuing this side venture, another opportunity arose that allowed me to follow my entrepreneurial dream and focus on YouTube and online kitchen design full-time.
